This 1974 Corvette was built on Tuesday December the 4th, 1973. Factory original numbers matching 454 Big Block V8. Mostly all original and a true survivor car with one repaint and some cosmetic mechanical things done over the years. The fifth digit of the VIN # is a (Z) which designates the 454 c.i. engine. The car has only 53,466 original miles and drives like an actual mile car. The car is finished in the original color of corvette orange with rare silver deluxe leather interior. The body is all original to the car with the exception of new front and rear bumpers were replaced and done professionally due to the age of the old urethane bumpers. The radiator has been replaced along with new front control arm bushings, power steering components rebuilt and replaced, all air conditioning system rebuilt including the original air compressor rebuilt and saved. The car currently has a correct reproduction a/c delco air compressor. All A/C in the car is working properly. The smog equipment is also included with the sale of the car. The interior of the car is in very good condition and all original to the car. All gauges, radio, seats and seat belts all original. This is truly a rare and original 74 corvette. The same owner since 2007 at which he purchased the car from the family that had owned the car since it was only 6 months old! So the car has a great paper trail for history. Two sets of tires and wheels are included as well with the car and they are the aluminum ones that are currently on the car with GoodYear Eagle GT II white lettered tires and the original Rally Wheels mounted on Goodyear Steel Belted Radials. So you have the best of both worlds on the look. This Corvette not only can be shown but also driven as it has made several Corvette events.

The transition to “soft” bumpers was completed in 1974 with the new body-color rear bumpers. The urethane plastic skin had built-in recesses for the license plate and taillights, and a vertical center seam divided the two main sections (later years are one-piece without the seam. The skin covered and aluminum impact bar mounted on two telescopic brackets. This was also the end of an era as the 454 V8 engine was not offered after the 1974 model year. Only 3,494 454’s were ordered in 1974 out of 37,502 total cars built. This was also the last Corvette model without catalytic converters. It was the last Corvette of the era with true dual exhausts. Resonators were added to the exhaust system. Exhaust tailpipes exited below the bumper. Shoulder belts on the 1974 coupe models were integrated with the lap belts for the first time. The alarm activator moved from the rear panel to the driver-side fender.
