This 1971 Corvette has been in the Springfield area for several years now. Previously owned by a local Shriner up until about 7 years ago. Good solid car with a nice frame and overall nice and presentable. Correct numbers matching Vette and has the original engine that came in it. This was also the last year for any type of horsepower as the small block 350 c.i. was rated at 270 and in 1972 went down to 200 h.p. Also the last model to feature the fiber-optics light monitoring system. This Corvette is finished in Bright Orange with saddle vinyl interior. The interior on this corvette is exceptional. Completely restored down to all of the instruments, new seats and seat foam, new carpeting and correctly installed just like the factory, all insulated underneath carpeting with Hushmat to provide a more quiet and cooler inside especially in those summer months, all dash removed and instrument bezels replaced, center console restored, new seat belts, complete new door panels with all of the trim, all new weatherstripping on t-tops, doors, around windshield, and the rear window as well, all seat tracks removed and cleaned and detailed, new door sill plates, new inside trim panels, dash pad and all panels removed and a fresh coat of dye so that everything matches perfectly, all new fiber-optics, gauge lenses, and the list goes on. The dash pad is an original and is in excellent shape with no cracking or evidence of any repairs. Amazing condition for the age. Approx. $5,000 just spent on those items alone! The interior on this car is in #1 condition and is just simply exceptional for the car. Gauges work, Radio was upgraded to the newer retro-style from Custom Auto Sound, all new vacuum hoses all replaced not only on the headlights but on the windshield wipers as well along with new vacuum storage tanks, engine compartment nicely detailed and parts of the chassis nicely detailed, all new chambered style exhaust system, upgrades on the engine include new Edelbrock carburetor, new Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, chrome valve covers, new spark plugs and plug wires, new starter, new alternator, new fan clutch, new hoses, engine all tuned and running well, air conditioning system reworked and retrofitted to R134 freon, new brake calipers and brake lines, several nice things completed on this car to make it the good driver that it is. There are several of the original parts such as the original carburetor and intake manifold and those items are included with the sale of the car. The overall paint is presentable but done some time ago. Shows good and has plenty of shine and too good to redo but not perfect. The front end appears to be all original with bonding strips still intact. All of the windshield is original and is in great shape along with all of the stainless and chrome trim around it. The chrome bumpers have been redone at some point and still are in nice condition. The tail lights and back up lamps are all new LED style which shows better and more visible not to mention much safer and easier to see. The tires on the car are radials and are in good condition with plenty of tread left. The miles on the car show 33,850 and cannot be guaranteed but I can tell you from driving the car it is nice, solid, and tight. Even the steering has no play at all in it unlike many you will drive. The steering wheel is original and still has most of its “grain” style finish as usually most are all worn slick from wear over the years.

This Corvette was built on Thursday March 18th, 1971.
VIN # 194371S112460
This was the 12,460th Corvette built out of 21,801 Produced That Year.
Original Base Price in 1971 was $5,496!
The car is documented with some prior owner history and receipts on what had been spent over the past few years to get it into the condition that it is in today. Also their is a set of t-top storage bags with the car. The interior has no old car smell because everything was removed and cleaned. With the front and rear chrome bumpers as well as the removeable rear window make these model years unique. Corvettes like this one will continue to increase in value for years to come but yet still very affordable today.
