This 2000 Corvette was in a collection of cars up until about one year ago. I was told the gentleman had passed and the family was selling the collection at that time. We purchased the car from a man in St. Louis that had bought this Corvette from that family. He did not drive it much and was in the process of a knee surgery and possible replacement so he then decided to sell this extremely low mileage C5 Corvette. We strive to find the real low mileage good ones you may say, and in good color combinations with the right options. This one is that kind of car! Only 12,947 actual miles and is nicely equipped with several desirable options. The car has a very good history and does come with a clean CarFax Vehicle History Report along with the previous owners name and information. We also have the window sticker, build sheet, sales brochure, original VHS operational demo tape, owners manual in the original leather folding binder, and both sets of original keys and key fobs. The car is mostly all original and stock with the exception of the new performance FlowMaster Mufflers that have just recently been installed. We also did install that new, painted to match, license plate frame from Corvette America. The car drives as good as it looks and has recently been serviced with Mobil 1 oil just like it was factory filled with. We have driven this Corvette approx. 200 miles ourselves and everything works as it should. Air conditioning is cold and all lights do work. The paint is in very nice shape with little to no nicks and has that nice lustre shine. No door nicks as well and the lower front spoiler is not all messed up along with the lower painted portions of the front bumper. Glass is all good and the softop does not have any flaws. The interior is as new condition. Little to no wear on the seats and the passenger side seat looks as of no one has sit in it. Non-smoker vehicle and all leather, trim and weatherstripping is excellent. This 2000 model Corvette is like going back in the day when it was new and buying it right off the showroom floor! Engine compartment and undercarriage photos as shown speak for themself. Clean in about every detail you can find. This Corvette was obviously kept inside and not driven in any inclimate types of weather. Collector Owned!

2000 Model Year Facts:
A newer 5-spoke wheel design was introduced.
For the first time a polished wheel option could be ordered.
Passive Keyless Entry was replaced by conventional Active Keyless Entry.
The passenger-side key cylinder lock was eliminated. It was deemed unnecessary with keyless entry, since the driver's side cylinder lock could still be used in case of battery failure.
The tension of the spring that located the shifter between the first-second gear gate and the fifth-sixth gate in manual transmissions was increased to provide a better sense of gear location and selection.
Two seals were redesigned to reduce water intrusion. The seal at the top of the windshield pillar was changed to minimize water entry when a door was opened.
Seat belt lap retractor snorkels were added to smooth lap belt webbing retraction. Also, the angle of the seat belt latch plates was changed to ease the buckling-in action.
Dual Zone Air Conditioning calibrations were revised to improve comfort and defrosting, to clarify memory function, and to reduce noise.
Seat materials and construction were changed to improve long-term durability. Some changes were phased in during 1999 production.
Torch Red was again the #1 color in 2000.
Real Corvettes Are Red And The Rest Are Mistakes!
There was a book that stated exactly that back in 1997 when the C5 Corvette was first introduced.
These C5 Corvettes are some of the best bargains for you money today. They still have great technology and one with this low of miles is a buy in today's new car market. You cannot get much of anything these days for $25,000 in a newer vehicle and one like this still has alot of miles left in it. Gas mileage is incredible. 20 to 25 city mpg and 30+ mpg on highway depending on driving habits. With this 6-Speed you are only turning 1,500 rpms at 65 to 70 mph so that is really no more than a fast idle. The engines are strong and produce plenty of power as these convertibles are lightweight. They can be driven daily if desired and with the transmission being in the rear, makes much more leg and interior room and are very easy for entry and exit.
These models have stabilized in value and I do not see them depreciating much more if any compared to a new Corvette.
