We just recently acquired this 1975 Corvette from a local lady that has owned this car since 1984! She purchased the car when she was 26 years old from the original owner, from what we were told, and did drive the car alot for several years after she bought it. It was her baby and after all these years she realized that it was time to let it go and let someone else enjoy it like she did. Always garaged and properly maintained as well as regularly serviced. This Corvette has an excellent body and frame and was repainted several years ago in the Corvette Orange Flame color, but looks as though it was done recently. The paint is show quality and does not need any attention. The t-tops all fit good as well as the glass. The front windshield has been replaced and looks and fits nice. The rear bumper was also replaced to a fiberglass one at the time it was painted. It also fits well and the rear emblem is recessed like it is suppose to be. We replaced the tail light lenses and added those aluminum wheels that have been polished out to a show shine finish. We also replaced the center caps and new lug bolts as well as newer BF/GoodRich radial T/A white lettered tires in the size of P255/60R-15. All tires are matching and dated in 2016 with little to no miles on them.
The interior of the Corvette is all original from what I can tell. Original carpet in good condition, showing some fading and age, but not all torn up. The dash pad is excellent with no tears or repairs, all gauges function and look nice, original steering wheel is in great shape, original door panels and seats still look decent and presentable, but not perfect and the driver’s side upper cushion does have a tear in it. Nothing major on the interior and if we have the car long enough we will address those things and price the car accordingly. The car does still have the original jack and lug wrench along with the spare tire lock which are usually missing. Horn, door buzzer, dome lights all work on this Corvette.
The overall engine compartment and chassis is original and untouched for the most part. It is mostly complete with even the original smog pump still on the engine. It has not been detailed and still is nice and presentable. All ignition shielding is still intact and the original air cleaner assembly is still there. It has had the carburetor rebuilt, new radiator hoses and belts, new plug wires and tuned at one time. It does run out very strong and impressive as I thought. The exhaust system at sometime has been replaced and still in good shape. The frame and chassis is in nice condition with no rust as it has been garaged and in this area its most of its life. We have replaced the power steering control valve and the brake calipers have been rebuilt. With some attention to detail, the engine compartment and chassis could be standing tall and the car has potential to be a $20,000 one. The paint job alone on this car could cost you as much as $10,000 in today’s prices. We have updated the following: new power steering control valve and cylinder along with new hoses, new right front brake caliper and a new upper driver's side seat cushion from Al Knock Interiors.
