This 2005 C6 Corvette Convertible is a very nice one! Loaded with every option offered for this model year. Finished is all black including the leather interior and convertible softop. Only 15,700 actual miles on this example and comes with a clean CarFax Vehicle History Report and the mileage stated on the title. The overall condition is excellent and about as clean as they come. The paint and interior, along with all of the trim is near new. No rock nicks in the glass or any heavy nicks in the paint. The car is original and mostly all stock with the exception of a nice upgraded Corsa Performance Exhaust System. The headlights are in nice shape and the softop is like new. This was a canvas material used on these convertible tops and will last for a very long time without needing attention. The convertible top has a full headliner underneath keeping the road noise down and the feel of a coupe model inside. This one features the optional power convertible top which was a $1,995 option and was first offered since 1962. You do not even need to get out of the vehicle and simply can push a button and fold the top up or down instantly. There is also no deep scratches in the paint and once you view the car in person you know without a doubt that this Corvette was cared for and kept inside and out of the elements. The interior is "like new" and shows little to no wear. The leather seats are in great shape with no excessive wear from getting in and out of the vehicle. Non-smoker car as well and the carpeting, door panels, dash assembly are all in fresh condition. No harsh products have been used to grease up the leather as well like you will see in many that are for sale. It looks just like the day it was delivered new. The wheels are chrome plated and are in nice shape with no curb or rash marks.
All of the books and manuals are still with the car including the Navigational discs, owners manual and quick reference operating guide, and the instructional card for the operation of the softop. We also have included the window sticker, build sheet and sales brochure for this model as well and both sets of key fobs are with this vehicle. This Corvette has many miles left and is like buying a new 2005 model without paying the list price which was over $62,000 on this Corvette when new! This Corvette has been recently serviced along with a new AC/Delco Battery and both drive belts. The belts on this car were in great shape, but do to
Age we decided to change them with new GM ones.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS TO THE 2005 MODEL YEAR:
The 2005 was the first of the Corvette's sixth generation (C6). It retained the C5's front-engine, rear transmission layout, but the 2005's body and interior were new, most chassis parts were re-engineered, and nearly every dimension changed. Length was reduced 5.1 inches and width 1.1 inches. Wheelbase increased 1.2 inches to 105.7. The increased wheelbase and efficient packaging permitted interior and storage volumes to retain similar despite the length and width reductions.
2005 models had exposed headlights, not seen in Corvettes since the 1962 model. 2005s used Xenon high intensity discharge low-beam projector lenses, and tungsten-halogen high-beam projectors under clear polycarbonate covers. Also under the covers were parking lights, side-turn markers and daytime running lights, all set into body-color housings.
Several options made their first Corvette appearance. These included a DVD-based navigation system, OnStar, XM Satellite radio, heated seats and seat-mounted side impact air bags. A power convertible top, last available in Corvettes with the 1962 model, was optional.
The standard engine for 2005 models was a 4th generation Chevy small block, the 400-hp LS2. Displacement increased from 346ci (5.7L) to 364ci (6.0L) by enlarging the bore from 3.9 inches to 4.0. Torque increased to 400 Ib-ft. The LS2 had numerous refinements, including increased camshaft lift, a higher compression ratio (10.9:1), lighter exhaust manifolds and a wingless aluminum oil pan that improved oil control during high g-force driving while reducing oil capacity from 6.5 to 5.5 quarts with filter. Redline for the LS2 was 6500 rpm, compared to LS1's 6000 rpm.
Unlike the fifth generation which included an automatic transmission as standard, and an extra-cost 6-speed manual as optional, the six-speed manual transmission was included with the 2005s; an automatic was a no-cost option. The automatic was the four-speed 4L65-E, a strengthened version of the C5's 4L60-E. It used an electronic controller with performance shift algorithm which adapted to driver patterns.
Wheel size was 18x8.5" front, 19x10" rear. Tire sizes was P245/40ZR-18 front; P285/35ZR-19 rear.
The Z51 Performance Package initial cost was $1,495 compared to 2004's $395, reflecting more content. The 2005 Z51 package included higher spring rates and shocks, larger sway bars, larger cross-drilled brake rotors; engine oil, transmission and power steering fluid coolers; higher-grip asymmetrical GoodYear Supercar EMT tires, and revised gear ratios.
The 2005 models had keyless access to start. A small key was included for glovebox, console and emergency entry, but normal door lock/unlock and push-button starting were activated by keyfob proximity.
