This 2015 Corvette Stingray Coupe is one of the nicer low mileage examples out there for sale. Adult owned, driven, and maintained by a true car guy that has decided to downsize some of his collection. Only 10,379 actual miles and has a clean history.
Finished in Torch Red Exterior with Jet Black interior. The condition of the paint and interior is excellent and shows little to no wear at all in all areas. Not driven in the rain or inclimate weather. There are no stone chips or any major rock nicks in the paint and the front spoiler is in great shape. The window glass has no chip repairs either and is just about as good as going back into 2015 and walking into a Chevrolet Dealership showroom and buying a new Corvette. The interior and all leather components are very nice and a few added extras such as the door sill protectors, rear carpeted trunk liner with the C7 Stingray Logo, and window tint have been added. Non-smoker vehicle as well. This Generation began in 2014 and ended in 2019 being the last of the front engine Corvette and also the last generation to see a manual transmission as this one has.
Corvette’s standard manual transmission changed to a seven speed and featured industry-first Active Rev Matching. During shifts, this feature “blipped” the throttle for smooth gear engagement, negating the need for traditional heel-and-toe technique. The system’s default mode was on, but could be switched off with steering wheel-mounted paddles.
The first use of an aluminum frame in Corvettes was in the 2006 Z06 model and was exclusive to Z06/ZR1 through the sixth generation. For the C7, 2014 and on, an aluminum frame (substantially redesigned) became standard with all coupe and convertible models, saving nearly one-hundred pounds compared to the C6 steel frame. The new frame was over 60% stiffer.
C7’s LT1 engine was a new iteration of the 6.2 Liter (376ci) small block with direct injection, continuously variable valve timing, and cylinder deactivation. Power output increased to 455hp (or 460hp with RPO NPP Performance Exhaust). Fuel economy ratings increased to 17-mpg city, 29-mpg highway. Engine manufacture moved from St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada to Tonawanda, New York.
C7’s interior featured two 8-inch HD display screens. The screen directly in front of the driver had three different instrument presentations depending of driver’s choice of Touring, Sport or Track modes. Interior materials were upgraded and included optional carbon fiber, aluminum and hand-wrapped leather. Standard GT and optional Competition Sport seats featured magnesium frames and improved support. The C7’s 360-mm (14.2”) steering wheel was the smallest diameter ever for Corvette.
Air flow was a C7 design emphasis. Functional vents (one hood, two side front fender, two rear deck (coupe), and two rear fascia) either reduced lift or cooled components. Vents were painted Carbon Flash.
Electronic power steering was included in all C7s, a Corvette first.
For 2015 MyLink and OnStar with 4G LTE was standard. Capable of linking up to 7 devices (smartphones, tablets), the system’s built-in Wi-Fi hotspot provides a mobile hub for high speed data connection.
The Z51 Performance Package included special tires, brakes, suspension, dry sump oiling, electronic limited slip, NPP exhaust, special gear ratios and aero package.
The base price included the 455-hp LT1 V8, 7-speed manual transmission with rev matching, 8-inch touchscreen AM-FM stereo with 9 bose speakers, Sirius/XM satellite radio, MyLink, OnStar, 4G LTE, 8-inch HD driver info screen, keyless access/start, power tilt/telescopic steering, cruise control, leather power GT seats, active handling stability control, dual-zone a/c, tire pressure monitor, driver, passenger and side airbags, carbon fiber hood, Brembo 4-piston disc brakes, and rear view camera.
This C7 Corvette is considered a 1LT model with the Z51 Performance Package. The NPP (Performance Exhaust) was included with the Z51 package as this one has and gained 5hp with that. The sound is not that loud but just enough as it has three settings to put it in.
This Corvette also has the optional transparent see through removable roof panel, painted red brake calipers, hood stinger, chrome badge package, Carbon Flash Painted Spoiler & O/S Mirrors, and custom Giovanna Wheels with Toyo Proxes T1 Sport Tires sizes 255/30 ZR 20 front and 285 /30 ZR 20 in the rear. They really set this C7 apart from others and look nice on the car. All wheels are in great shape with the exception of just one of the right front as it does have some curb rash marks.
Original owners manual and both sets of key fobs are included with the sale along with a special socket to remove the lug bolts for those wheels. There is also a set of front brake rotor cooling rings that are still in the GM bag that goes with the car as well.
The prices of the C7 models have actually gone up in the past six months as the new C8 Corvettes are extremely high right now and this is the next best Corvette on the market. Just arrived in time for summer!
