We acquired this 1978 Corvette a few years back and sold it local. The car
At that time had several things done to the car including a new GM crate
Engine which produces approx. 350 hp. The lady that we had bought this
Car from had probably spent over $20,000 at that time with a shop in Northwest
Arkansas. Sadly, the owner passed in the fall of 2022 and the wife has decided to sell after several mechanical things have been corrected. The body is a solid good original one with an older repaint that is still nice and presentable. It is a clear coat finish and has a nice shine. The tires were replaced at one time, new mufflers and partial exhaust system, and several other things including a new interior. Much of the interior was replaced including new carpeting, new all leather seats and foam, new door panels, etc. The dash assembly is original and in good shape. The car shows 68,579 miles and although it is believed to be actual, we cannot guarantee the miles on the car. There is several receipts and the two previous owners and their information. The new crate engine has approx. 10,000 miles on it according to some of the documents with the mileage stated on those. This car was an original black car with light beige interior and is alittle unusual as most have all black or silver interior. The window glass is all good, doors fit nicely, headlights and most everything on this car is in operating condition including the air conditioning, heater, defroster, radio, gauges, etc. The car does have a jack and lug wrench along with the spare tire and wheel. The frame and underside is clean and presentable as well.

1978 marked the 25th Anniversary for the Corvette and all models had the special 25th emblems, both front and rear, and the logo on the steering wheel horn button. The exterior was more extensively redesigned with a new "fastback" rear end styling featured a large rear window, but not a hatchback. This design changed created significantly more luggage space behind the seats. Also, a retracting cover was added for security and sun protection.
The 1978 interior was redesigned significantly. The speedometer and tachometer were redone in a more square, vertical mode. A glove box was added. Inner door panels were completely new and featured screwed-on armrests instead of molded-in style style common to Corvettes since 1965. Windshield wiper and washer controls were moved back to the instrument panel, but the dimmer remained on the steering column.
The center console, redone for 1977, essentially carried over.

This is a super nice driver Corvette with many new components and very presentable paint. This car also has a nice aluminum radiator and a new fuel tank installed.
Please note that this Corvette is on Consignment as we are helping the family sell the car as the previous owner sadly has passed in late 2022.
