This 1974 Corvette Stingray T-Top Coupe is a factory born original 454 LS4 big block car with a 4-Speed manual transmission. This was the last year to see a big block engine ever offered in a Corvette and only 3,494 were built out of the total production number of 37,502. This Corvette underwent a very nice restoration in the past few years with a professional repaint done by Redline Finishes of Ozark Missouri at a cost of close to $10,000! That was done back in 2017 and the cost would even be higher today. The car is finished in a nice Corvette Red that is like the shade it would have been in 1974 but a much higher gloss finish with the clear coat that it was done in. The door jamb areas and all of the parts such as the hood, headlights, front and rear bumpers were all removed as that is a labor intensified job and most shops will not take the time to remove those items as the labor costs do get expensive. The body lines are all nice and the fit and finish is better than any. The front and rear bumpers were replaced with new fiberglass ones and resemble the 1980-1982 style. There was also a front spoiler added like what was seen on the 1978 Pace Car models and an option in 1979. The hood is also an L-88 style to accommodate the clearance of the new intake and carburetor setup on the big block engine. The window glass does appear to be all the original to this car and has been tinted which can easily be removed. The car does have a nice stance and drives as good as it looks with plenty of performance.

INTERIOR:
The interior on this Corvette for the most part has been redone. New leather seats and seat foam, new carpeting with a sound deadening material placed underneath to keep out the noise and heat during those hot summer nights, all new door panels with trim, new rear battery storage compartment, new center emergency brake console, all original instruments in very good condition with a retro custom audio sound stereo that fits in the same cavity as the original, and the original dash pad that is presentable but does have a crack at the speaker areas which was a common thing to see on the C3 models. The weatherstripping was all replaced and overall is a very nice looking interior in the saddle color that was correct for this car. The original steering wheel does look very good with minimal wear. This car does feature the nice tilt/telescopic steering wheel option.
ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, AND CHASSIS:
This Corvette was born and original LS4 454 Big Block car according the the VIN #. The Fifth digit is a Z which designates the 454 C.I. V8 engine. The engine was completely rebuilt with receipts and paperwork to verify that. Not even a 1,000 miles has been put on the car since the rebuild of the engine and the paint job as well. The engine is the period correct dated coded one and was a numbers matching car, however, when the engine was rebuilt which is common to see, some of the numbers on the block were decked off in the process of the rebuild. The engine does have a performance cam, Edelbrock intake and carburetor along with a set of chrome plated valve covers and a set of ceramic coated headers.The ignition is a MSD and all of the components such as the starter, fuel pump, water pump, alternator, etc have either been replaced or rebuilt. The Muncie 4-Speed transmission was also rebuilt at the time and the car performs out well. The shifter has been swapped out with a Hurst one. The exhaust system is a true dual setup with a set of Dynomax mufflers giving the car a nice sound.
The frame on this car is a good solid one with no evidence or repairs or rot with minimal surface rust that could easily be cleaned and detailed to show as well as the top side of the car.
The wheels are a nice set of American Racing Polished Aluminum Torque Thrust style mounted on a set of Mastercraft Avenger GT Radial Tires sizes Front P235/60R-15 and Rear P245/60R-15. The car does still have the jack and lug wrench along with the spare tire and wheel and that original compartment. A nice T-Top bag holder is included to store the T-Tops safely behind the seats without getting any scratches or damage to them.

Other nice features include electric headlights instead of the vacuum setup and a vintage air conditioning style compressor so that the a/c in this car does still operate.
