This one owner Corvette is a true time capsule that is absolutely new in every way possible, it's also equipped with the desirable 6-Speed optional Transmission.
Originally delivered and sold new in Juneau Alaska this Corvette was kept low miles and in a temperature controlled environment and has never been exposed to the elements of the weather. The original owner bought it to speculate as an investment is the reason why it was never driven. He and his wife moved down in this area to Branson Missouri about four years ago and the car recently ended up in our possession. You will not find a more original example in “New” condition as this one and no one will be disappointed in this 50th Anniversary! It literally is still new on the underside as well and believe it or not it still has that new car smell on the inside.
For 2003 this marked the 50th Anniversary since the Corvette’s 1953 introduction and the occasion was marked with an optional 50th Anniversary Package. Ordered as the 1SC equipment group, it was available with coupes and convertibles, but not Z06 hardtops. It included Anniversary Red “Xirallic Crystal” exterior paint, unique front-fender emblems, champagne-painted aluminum wheels and center caps, and a new Shale interior. These models had 1SB content along with a new F55 Magnetic Selective Ride Control system which was an option on standard coupes and convertibles.
The 50th Anniversary’s Shale interior blended a lighter value of gray-beige for seats and carpeting with a darker gray-beige for console, instrument panel and upper door panels. This was the first appearance of anything but black for a C5 instrument panel. The 50th Anniversary interior included embroidered logos on the seat headrests and floor mats, and leather-padded door armrests and inside door pull handles.
RPO F55 Magnetic Selective Ride Control replaced the earlier F45 Real Time Damping system. It featured faster response time made possible by the use of magnetic fluid within the shock absorbers. The synthetic fluid, called Magneto-rheological (MR), held iron particles in suspension. Electrical input caused the iron particles to align in a way that effected flow rate through orifices in the monotube shock’s piston. In the earlier system (and virtually all competing systems at the time), shock damping adjustments were made by mechanically varying the orifice size of valves through which fluid flowed. Corvette’s new magnetic system adjusted shock damping at the rate of 1,000 times per second. This equated to the ability of reacting to every inch of road surface at 60 mph.
The 50th Anniversary Package was an additional $5,000 option which included head up display, twilight sentinel, power telescoping steering wheel, memory package, Magnetic Selective Ride Control, electrochromic mirrors: inside rearview and left outside rearview.
The 6-Speed Manual Transmission was an option at $915.00
The Removable Transparent Roof Panel was a $750.00 Option
Remote 12-Disc CD Changer was a $600.00 Option
Front License Plate Frame an additional $15.00

Included with this 50th Corvette is the original window sticker, the original temp tag and owners manual portfolio, the original Market Adjustment Sticker as the dealer was originally asking $24,995 over MSRP, the original Demo VCR Tape, The Original DVD 50th disc, both sets of original keys and key fobs, an original 2003 50th sales brochure, an original 2003 50th paint chip GM brochure, photos of the car with the original owners on the day we purchased the vehicle from them, and a portfolio of things pertaining to this vehicle since it was new.
The car has also been serviced recently including the anti-freeze coolant flush, brake fluid flush, hydraulic clutch fluid changed, differential fluid changed, oil and filter changed, and a new battery recently installed. Everything works on the car and the original magazine for the 12-disc cd changer is still in the plastic and has never been opened. Also, the original shipping blocks that were put into the shocks from the factory for delivery and removed at the dealership when doing the PDI are still in a bag with this Corvette! It is impressive to see everything on this car and the condition that it is in.
