Offered up For Sale is another nice, low-mileage 2001 Corvette Convertible in original condition. This Corvette is finished in Torch Red with Light Oak leather interior and a matching Light Oak cloth convertible soft top. The car has only 37,494 actual miles and was originally sold new at Cable-Dahmer Chevrolet in Independence, Missouri. The Corvette is in excellent shape with the original paint in nice showroom shape, all original interior with little to no wear, non-smoking vehicle, and mostly all stock and original with the exception of a cat-back bolt-on Borla Performance Exhaust System that is stainless steel. Included with this Corvette is the window sticker, build sheet, the original application for Missouri title showing purchased new on 03/01/01, the original temp tag, owner history, copies of title history, the original pre-delivery inspection, owners manuals, both sets of the original keys and key fobs, registration paperwork from the original owner, the car was in Warrensburg, Missouri for much of its life, Clean CarFax Vehicle History Report, oil change receipts, new tires replaced 5/23 with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 at a cost of $1,274.00 and all four tire sensors were replaced at that time, new power window motor, new headlight gear, new harmonic balancer replaced in June of 2025, brake fluid flushed, new drive belts, new LED sunvisors, new driver seat bushings in the seat track, all fluids checked and were good, recent oil and filter changed, all documented in a three-ring binder. These things are common issues with the C5s and are all taken care of. Everything works on this vehicle and is ready for show or go!
I would not be afraid to drive this Corvette home. Including the new tires, there has been $3,000 spent on this Corvette in the past three years on routine maintenance that you will not need to do.
This car does not disappoint. The convertible top is as new as you will find one, the interior is as good as any you will find and does not have any excessive wear on the driver side seat as commonly seen, all of the weatherstrip seals are excellent, the engine compartment and undercarriage is very clean, no engine modifications, it is simply a great car with an excellent documented history.
I actually sold this Corvette back in August of 2023 with an odometer reading of 28,244 and just recently took this vehicle back on a trade for a C6 Grand Sport model that was just what the customer was looking for.
I would put this C5 up against any out there for sale on the market today.
These are great cars to drive and enjoy and they do not break your pocket book!
SOME KEY HIGHLIGHTS TO THE 2001 MODEL YEAR:
The standard engine for coupes and convertibles (LS1) increased from 345 hp to 350 hp. The engine had a new camshaft profile with the lift of the intake and exhaust valves slightly reduced, and the overall valve time decreased.
Manual transmission synchronizers were upgraded with carbon blocker rings on all forward gears.
Second-generation active handling was standard with all 2001 models.
Convertible top noise was reduced with better weather stripping and a new; double-thickness twill material. Noise in all models was reduced by addition of an expandable foam baffle inside the lower lock pillar.
